Editorial principles and the site's actual review, publishing and correction paths for its two media properties.

Policy details

Draft — pending legal review

Draft updated: 06 October 2026. This date records the content update, not legal approval or a statutory effective date.

Scope and principles

Accuracy, fairness, independence, accountability and public interest guide editorial review. Janpariprekshya Darpan is a Hindi monthly publication; VMN News is a distinct digital platform. This institutional website supplies publication records and services rather than a continuously updated live-news feed. These principles are editorial commitments, not a claim that every source or statement has received legal certification.

Publication and attributed material

E-Paper drafts are managed by authorised Editors/Super Admins; the public archive serves published issues. Issue month and coverage dates must not be confused with print, publication or release dates. Founder, Editor and Publisher are distinct content roles. Founder messages and quotations require explicit approval/publication, and portrait changes require a separate reviewer; the site must not fabricate attributed speech or documentary images.

Commercial independence and AI assistance

An advertising payment does not determine editorial coverage or automatically approve creative content. Sponsored material must be distinguishable from independent reporting. The staff enquiry assistant creates administrative drafts and does not itself publish journalism or approve bookings. AI-generated material supplied as content must be disclosed and must not be passed off as authentic evidence of a real event.

Concerns and corrections

Use the correction form for factual concerns, identifying the issue, page, headline or URL and supporting evidence. Use Grievance Redressal for privacy, rights, reputational or other formal concerns. Receipt or acknowledgement does not mean the allegation is accepted or resolved. Editorial/legal staff assess the material, keep a record of decisions and distinguish a correction from a removal request.
