Corrections & Clarifications Policy

The information needed to raise a factual concern and how it relates to the staff corrections register and grievance process.

Policy details

Draft — pending legal review

Draft updated: 06 October 2026. This date records the content update, not legal approval or a statutory effective date.

Submit a specific concern

The correction form records edition, issue month, headline, concern, name and email, with page number, publication date, URL, evidence text and phone where supplied. Identify what is inaccurate and why, including a source where possible. For supporting document uploads or wider legal/privacy concerns, use Grievance Redressal and its appropriate category.

Receipt and assessment

A correction ticket confirms receipt, not a finding of error, acceptance of a proposed rewrite or resolution. Staff may need more information and must assess sources and context. No automatic publication, takedown or fixed response deadline is promised by the form.

Records across media versions

The staff corrections register distinguishes media property, original content reference, correction text, date and status. A logged correction is not proof that a printed issue has been recalled or every downloaded PDF replaced. Published E-Paper originals, content evidence and decision history must be preserved rather than silently erased; the desk should identify which print, digital or E-Paper version a confirmed correction concerns.

Follow-up

Keep your ticket and contact the desk with that reference. If the issue is a formal grievance, use the grievance process; acknowledgement and closure are separate decisions. Complainant contact details and evidence are operational records, not automatically published alongside a correction.
